Appointments

appointments

Please feel free to ask any questions at the time of consultation or contact the practice nurse or doctor at another time to discuss questions that arise.

We run an appointment system. Appointments are normally 10 minutes long. If you need to discuss more than one thing, please book additional appointments. The coctors generally see patients on time, so please be punctual.

If you cannot or do not wish to attend, please cancel your appointment as soon as possible.

Making an Appointment

There are 2 appointment options – If you feel ill and need to see a doctor the same day, ring the surgery on 0121 308 2080 after 8.00am Mon to Fri, you will be given an appointment for that day.

Alternatively you can pre-book an appointment with a doctor for up to 2 weeks in advance. All nurse appointments are bookable in advance. Nurses are normally available for emergency treatment at short notice, however, please check with reception first as patients would normally be offered the next available appointment.

Emergency Contraception

If you have had unprotected sexual intercourse and are concerned you may be pregnant, please contact the surgery within 72 hours of intercourse taking place. It would be helpful if you could let the receptionist know that you need an urgent appointment for emergency contraception, she will then give you an appointment for the same day. Alternatively you can purchase the morning after pill from your local chemist.
